Hello everybody!
First of all, welcome to the new backers and thank you for hopping onboard. The Intrepid (name of this ship) is at a waypoint and in this update I will explain all the details.
In this update I explain how the release works.
Astra Polaris Signature Edition LTD
With this special deck I hope I meet those signature-related requests together with the requests of a numbered limited series that is ONLY available via Kickstarter.
This is an Astra Polaris deck with a numbered seal and handmade signature of the artist (me).
At that given time, the Astra Polaris Signature Edition will be available as add-on. You have 12 hours of time to decide if add it or not. After 12 hours it will marked as not available or sold-out.
Important:
one per backer
available only as add-on, via Kickstarter add-on feature.
Do not add it on top of your pledge just increasing the pledged amount with math (it does not count).
12h time window, I do no accept requests after it expires.

How to add it: the Kickstarter add-on feature
In the past it was possible to add items only by changing the total pledged amount.
Now it is different, there is the NEW Kickstarter add-on feature:

If you just add €40 on top of your pledge doing a simple amount increase, it will be not be counted as added deck. You need to use the add-on feature.
Questions & Answers
Q:How many deckswill be signed?
A:I do not know. I will be able to do the count after the end of the campaign.

Q:Can it be added on Backerkit if abacker misses the release?
A: no, it is only in this given time window of 12 hours.

Q: What is Backerkit?
A: A backer-management platform I will use after the campaign to manage the surveys and fulfillment.

Q: Why only as add-on and not in a reward with just that deck?
A: Because it is for the backers that are already onboard

Q: Is there a limited supply during the release?
A: no, but you can add just one. The total number depends by how many backers add it. It can be 300 or 1000+, but it will never be higher than the total number of backers. It is very unlikely that every single backer adds this deck. This is mostly designed for collectors wanting the signature and a numbered variant.

Q: Is it possible to get a specific number?
A: no, it is assigned randomly. Fulfillment does not allow it.

Q: Is it possible to get matching numbers with the gilded decks Solis and Lunæ?
A: impossible

Q: Late backers will miss this opportunity?
A: yes. I am rewarding the followers and the backers that joined early.

Q: Can Solis&Lunæ get the same seal or getthe signature?
A: No, those decks are complete as they are.

Release: Custom Wooden Box for 6 decks

Hello!
We are in the middle of the campaign, and as promised we can open the cargo hold and see what is stored for you. Straight from the lower decks I am very proud to present a beautiful wooden box in solid walnut with agrate on the lid.
Solid, everlasting, timeless.
What you see here is the real production sample. The only rendered part is the XVII sigil.
I worked with CaratCaseCreations and this is the final design; tested, and approved! :)

Specs
This is handmade, as almost every wooden box. Of course they use machines to cut and produce the components, but the assembling is made by hand, there are no robots doing the job. You can see it is solid walnut from the shades of the different components.
Some imperfections might happens, and it is part of the deal.

I made this video tutorial, because Kickstarter did a bad job with the graphic user interface design which it is not that intuitive.

Custom Box release date
A dip pen with black feather
All produced books will include a dippen with black feather,no need to add it.
We are in 1776, so no ballpoint or cartridge with ink. If you use it in the book for your notes, you are going to do it in the old fashion way and dip it in the blackest squid ink. I know, it is not 100% historically accurate, but it is a good compromise.

The nib is pointy, the handle is metal, and the ink is not included.
I might add a little symbol on the handle to customize it when I make the order. I am not really fond of the laser engraving in this case because - as said - we are in 1776.
It could be printed symbol, but I am afraid it looks cheap. Texts, website addresses, and names are out of question because it will make it look like those "put-your-company-logo-here-merchandise-junk" ... I do not know at the moment, but I will investigate.

You are free to add a pen on top of your pledge even if you do not have a book. If you have a book you will get one for free, but you can add another one as well.
On Saturday I unveil this long-waited custom box for 6 decks.

ADD-Ons Video Tutorial: how to add items in the correct way

Hi all!
I've been through countless comments and emails about not being able to add items in the add-on page. Kickstarter unfortunately did a bad job with GUI (Graphic User Interface) for this new functionality, and on top of that it might be glitchy on mobile. Please use a desktop pc or a laptop.
It is important that you add the items with the kickstarter functionality. During the campaign I will do a release of a limited item only as add-on, and this is the only way to add it.
You do not have to do the math and change the pledged amount! :) Those days are gone for good.
Cpt. L.Dougherty prepared a clear video tutorial that explains the steps.
If you have issues and this tutorial does not help, it is a technical problem of some kind. Best action is:
Try another browsers (Chrome works well)
Make sure the browser is updated
Clear the cache and the cookies of the browser
I hope Cpt. L. Dougherty helped.
In next update...
I am preparing the next release: it is a perk for books. Nothing you need to add... oh well, if you want to add more you will be able to, but I don't think it is a must-have.

I listen. I saw many requests of mini decks and many requests of more Quartermaster Edition. I cannot print more regular Quartermasters, so that is not going to happen... but I can make a mini variant of the quartermaster with some differences on the tuckbox :)
The mini deck is up for grab as add-on.

How To add?
Just hit the "Manage Your Pledge Button" and go to the add-on section.
Be aware that Kickstarter app on mobile is glitchy. If you do not see the add-on section while you try to do it on mobile, go to a desktop pc with an updated browser and it should work just fine.
Stretch goals and releases
Since the campaign exploded in my face in the first days (and thank you for that!), I am reworking the structure of the stretch goals and releases and dilute them.
I mean that everything will be released at a slower pace.
